Oi.

Hey everyone.

It's summer solstice time. Sunset'll be in six hours or so, and everything's all set up at th'bonfire.

Couldn't find any fireworks, but hey, we've got plenty of marshmallows.



[Zeke and Raven set up a bunch of towels and places to sit around the bonfire. And a table with marshmallows and all kinds of other things that can be cooked on a stick. There are also small buckets filled with water sitting around. Which Zeke may or may not be dumping on people. (Characters are free to retaliate. This is summer, after all.)

Oh, and Rapunzel has a nice big cake with her name on it in the middle. With candles and everything.

[He started to move away from the source of heat.]

[And after a momentarily delay, Kloe stood up and followed him.]

[Aaand she just. Stops walking.]

[He didn't notice she was following him anyway. He made a casual wave of farewell without facing her.]

O-oh, yes -- of course! I'll go put them in my room right now! Do you want to come with me?

[Of course you do, Oncie. Because she's grabbing his hand and heading off.]

[That's a good thing, because Bobby probably would have felt bad if he made him flinch. Instead, he smiles back.]

I'm saving some of mine to try to make ice cream out of, though.

[What? ... Wait, wait. Duh!]

Oh, uh, are you Bobby?

[mister10below]

[He laughs at that.]

Yeah, I'm Bobby. I guess it's gotten around that I'm the ice cream guy?

[Dude, awesome. That made Bobby's night, there.]

Guess so! I'm the Once-ler, you catered my birthday party. [Saying "birthday party" makes him feel like a ten-year-old.] I meant to thank you for that, but, uh, I never saw you. ... Well, I didn't know what you looked like.

Oh, hey! Happy belated birthday, then! I meant to find you and tell you that at the party, but, uh, yeah.

Uh - Looks like I do!

[He lets himself be led away from the party. Wow, they're, uh, holding hands, aren't they? Legitimately holding hands. But, like, is this friend hand-holding, or is it that kind of hand-holding? The Once-ler doesn't say much of anything the whole time.]

[Tetsu doesn't so much as bother as quietly-if not somewhat squish-ally-take his own place at the fire's side. He's got a hotdog impaled on a stick at hand and wastes no time in thrusting it into the flames once he's seated. He keeps close to the fire's heat, less so for the sake of his snack and more so in an attempt to dry himself off.

It looks like someone threw a bucket of water on his head.]

[He turns his marshmallow over the bonfire. All sides have to be equal, of course.]

Oh, hey, uh, question: can you make any flavor ice cream, or do you need ingredients?

[She grins, and pulls him along behind her, all the way back to her room. Bursting in, she finally lets go of his hand, and hunts around for the perfect place to put them. There's a little spot there on her dresser that she finally settles on, and she steps back, contemplating.]

[She drops his arm and smiles.]

I suppose so, yes. And, I'm nineteen now.

[Not doing that for long, Kloe. Rapunzel is taking your hand and leading you over to the fire.]

[Rapunzel brightens when she sees Bobby, and heads over his way in a running leap, flinging her arms around him.]

Thank you! I'm so glad you're here! [Aw, Brother Bobby <3]

[Rapunzel remembers Sarea from their conversations and brief meetings in the past. She waves the dark headed girl over, and holds out a newly finished roasted marshmallow for Sarea.]

Thank you! I've been well...what about you?

[yolonceler]

[He crosses his arms and tilts his head, pretending to judge her placement.]

Hmmm.

[The Once-ler looks VERY SERIOUS.]

I suppose it's sufficient.

[She eyes him, brow raised, then--

Just starts laughing.]

[yolonceler]

[Stop it! This is a very serious time! Interior design is very important! Stop!

Okay the Once-ler can't keep up with this charade, so he starts laughing too. Is it sad that this is the most he's laughed since... forever?]

Alright! [How he manages to speak between giggles is beyond me. He holds out one hand for her to take.] Party, party. You can't ditch your own party.
