Oi.

Hey everyone.

It's summer solstice time. Sunset'll be in six hours or so, and everything's all set up at th'bonfire.

Couldn't find any fireworks, but hey, we've got plenty of marshmallows.



[Zeke and Raven set up a bunch of towels and places to sit around the bonfire. And a table with marshmallows and all kinds of other things that can be cooked on a stick. There are also small buckets filled with water sitting around. Which Zeke may or may not be dumping on people. (Characters are free to retaliate. This is summer, after all.)

Oh, and Rapunzel has a nice big cake with her name on it in the middle. With candles and everything.

Yeah, very helpful.

[She grabs one of the skewers off the table, sticks her marshmallow on it, and promptly walks off toward the bonfire.]

[There was a small scoff at her comment before trailing behind her.]

Was that an invitation?

[Kloe picks a spot around the bonfire with no one nearby to start toasting her marshmallow.]

So in other words, get lost?

[She almost didn't answer.]

No, that's not what I meant.

[He crossed his arms and watched her.]

If I wanted you to get lost I would've told you to fuck off already.

[You know, like she usually does.

Right now she's just. Awkwardly trying not to look at him very much.

Also whoops her marshmallow is on fire she's going to take care of that.]

I noticed that and now you're letting me stay. Why is that, hm?

[He chuckled slightly at the burnt marshmellow.]

Maybe I'm just in a good mood.

[He would have made a comment but decided to sit down, leaning on his arms that supported him up.]

Which will probably get ruined if I stick around.

Wow, I'm glad you recognize the pattern.

[Once the marshmallow is eaten she throws the stick into the fire.]

[There was a glance to the fire that Kloe had thrown the stick before returning his focus to the doctor. There was a slight scoff before it transformed in to a chuckle.]

Are you trying to humor me?

Does it matter?

[She watches the stick crackle and burn for a brief moment before taking a seat next to him. But she's not sitting very close.]

Maybe.

[A wide grin crept to his lips, despite the teasing tone in his voice.]

Does my answer influence whether or not you're going to stick around?

[She's smiling. Damn it why is she smiling.]

Perhaps.

[He gave a small shrug, but noticed the smile on her face. If he pointed it out, she'd stop.]

Kloe stares at the fire.]

I wasn't "humoring you".

Should I ask what it was?

[It was an obvious question, but he was playing dumb for the time being. His gaze returned to the fire and grabbed a stick to poke the flames with it.]

I was just making a statement.

[dominateartimus]

I thought I heard some sarcasm in it.

[There was a brief chuckle from him before he tossed the thin piece of wood in to the bonfire.]

Maybe you need to clean out your ears.

[dominateartimus]

My hearing is perfectly fine.

[There was a glance at her from over his shoulder.]

I doubt you should really spend time concerned about me. I can take care of myself.

[Most of the time.]
