Alright. Tammy and I've been slavin' away all day for a treat for all of ya. It's comfort food time.

There's alotta food here in the kitchen all prepped and ready to eat, so it's all a matter of gettin' your butts here and eating it.

We've got a couple different pizzas, lasagne, spaghetti bolognese, and alfredo. Bruschetta. Minestrone. A couple other miscellaneous pasta dishes.

And for somethin' sweeter we got pizzelles, biscotti, cannolis, sfogliatelle, and granita. Though th'granita is kinda meltin' fast so I stuck it in th'freezer for now.

Take as much as y'like, there's plenty ta go around.

Hey everyone.

It's summer solstice time. Sunset'll be in six hours or so, and everything's all set up at th'bonfire.

Couldn't find any fireworks, but hey, we've got plenty of marshmallows.

[Zeke and Raven set up a bunch of towels and places to sit around the bonfire. And a table with marshmallows and all kinds of other things that can be cooked on a stick. There are also small buckets filled with water sitting around. Which Zeke may or may not be dumping on people. (Characters are free to retaliate. This is summer, after all.)

Oh, and Rapunzel has a nice big cake with her name on it in the middle. With candles and everything.

Well shit, it's almost the first of Cancer already. Time sure does fly fast.

[Hmm.]

I dunno about you all, but this means the Summer Solstice is right around th'corner. Ten days or so? If any of ya know how to get your hands on some fireworks, that'd be pretty handy. And if no one's plannin' on keeping the bonfire hostage for the next couple of weeks, we can have a barbeque. How 'bout that?

S'mores would be great, too, but we're kinda lacking in that category. If th'staff's listening to this at all, think you could help me out? Can't seem to find much chocolate around here, which is kinda a shame.

...Fireworks would be nice, too, but I'm not gonna push it.

[It was an off day or something. Because everything Zeke was cooking was turning out terribly. The custard wasn't coming together just right. The meat was dry. He nearly burnt the milk and ruined the rice.

Granted, none of it's totally ruined, but IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH GDIT and he's feeling pretty disappointed in himself.]

Think I'm losin' my edge.

[This is the worst thing in the world, everyone.]

I've got some food here that could use eating if you're feeling hungry. It's not great but I don't wanna waste it.

[If you, you know, want less than perfect food.

Normally he doesn't cook this much but he got frustrated. So now he's sulking in the kitchen trying to save his damn custard pies and pudding.]

Well, this is kinda late, but what th'heck. Phichela was a few days ago, so I made some cakes for y'all.

[Here, a plateful of little (what should be but are kind of deformed) heart-shaped cakes, with a pink cream! Delicious!]

So hug your neighbor and don't drag mud into th'barracks.

[And once he's done with this he will be SWEEPING THE FLOORS and cleaning the windows and giving people hugs (if they promise not to murder him for it).]

And there's dogs around here, right? I've run into 'em before, so if anyone'd point me in their direction that'd be great.

I dunno about you all, but that was kinda fun. Havin' claws sorta made cooking difficult, though.

VII {Forward dated to after Deior}

Huh. Well, uh.

I have alotta extra candles.

A lot.

So if anyone wants some they can have 'em.

Just don't go walkin' into any dark corners t'get 'em. I'll bring them t'you, no big deal.

This is quite th'solstice y'have here, Deior. Bein' the festival of light and all.

[Pause.]

There's plenty of food, too, if anyone wants that.

This might not be th'happiest solstice ever celebrated, but I'm not gonna let the food go t'waste.

[In the meantime, Zeke'll be setting up the candles along the hallways of the barracks for a little extra light.]

Now, this might be a bit short notice and everything, but better late than never, eh?

Solstice is in a few days. At least, it would be back home, and I'm not too sure about this place with its lack of sun an' all, but doesn't matter. Show must go on.

So, there's usually alotta gift givin' and feastin' and partying on th'solstice. But we can cut out th'party and make it more laid back if no one's really up for it.

[H-ha ha ha 8'|]

But! I'm gonna need some help with the food and the decoratin'. We're gonna need a lot of candles. The bonfire will come in handy too.

So just say the word if you wanna help or want me ta cook you somethin'.

All of the above? Possibilities are endless with this one.

'Course, they're nice t'look at, too. Even if I wasn't expectin' t'find my face carved into one.

Just... just curious. Which world is this talkin' about? 'Cause I've spent th'last seven or so months in another world that I was suddenly dragged to and, y'know.
